“…for in You, the fatherless find compassion.” Hosea 14:3

Orphan Sunday is an initiative born in a church in Zambia, Africa. One Sunday morning, the local pastor taught about God’s heart for the orphan and His mandate to the Church to care for them. The members of the congregation, facing their own hardships and challenges, responded to God’s call in inspiring ways. Believers gave sacrificially, bringing food, clothing, and bedding to the altar throughout the day. One parishioner even gave the shoes off her feet for orphans in the community.

An American guest in attendance was overwhelmed by the generosity and heart of God’s people and brought Orphan Sunday to the States. Now, it’s spreading like wildfire across the U.S. and the globe, with over 3500 churches and organizations worldwide observing Orphan Sunday in 2019.

Orphan Sunday is a beautiful expression of the Father’s heart, with the Body of Christ coming together with One Voice for One Purpose: Sharing God’s redeeming love and purposes for the orphan.

This Orphan Sunday, November 8, Strong Tower invites believers everywhere to join together for the Week of Prayer for Haiti’s orphans. As people of God, you and I are called to love the orphan as well. We believe one of the most powerful ways to love orphans is to pray for them.

Will you pray with us? You can find the daily here https://strongtowerhaiti.com/week-of-prayer/ or follow Strong Tower on Instagram and Facebook for daily prayer prompts. God delights in the prayers of His people.

The Week of Prayer culminates on Sunday, November 15 with a Day of Giving that celebrates the overwhelming success of the Micro-loan Program for Women and serves to expand the ministry even further.

Your financial gift will be doubled on this day up to $4000, thanks to matching donors. Your generosity will empower more businesswomen to grow their businesses and their capacities to care for their families. https://strongtowerhaiti.com/giving-day/  Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this opportunity!

“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families,” (Psalm 68:6) and their hope is in Him and His people.

Thank you for all you are and all you do on behalf of Christ and the orphan. You are impacting lives in Kingdom-sized ways. May God be glorified.

With faith, hope, and love,
